Positive Family Solutions / Pre-K Parent Modules

September 17, 2014 By

Positive Family Solutions / Pre-K Parent Modules:

The Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL) has developed The Pre-K Parenting Modules, an evidence-based and user-friendly parent training series, in order to help professionals

  • Promote positive and effective parenting behaviors,
  • Promote children’s social and emotional development, and
  • Address the challenging behavior and mental health needs of young children.

The training materials provide information for families on how to promote children’s social and emotional skills, understand their problem behavior, and use positive approaches to help children learn appropriate behavior. The trainings are designed to give families general information on key strategies that may be used with all children.

While the Pre-K Parenting Module materials can be used in a variety of services for preschoolers and families, this training may be especially effective for individuals who provide parent support, provide parent groups, and/or organize parent education in center-based settings.
